Editorial policy
Every fact on ChinaHealth links to its source, so you can check it without trusting us. This page says how the site is compiled.
How we verify
Every price and fact carries at least one clickable source and the date we checked it. Prices come from hospital price pages, government notices and dated media reports, never from agency quotes. Agency quotes appear only in our quoted-vs-published research, clearly labelled as quotes.
How often we recheck
We recheck sources on a 90 day cycle. When a figure is older than that, the page marks it as possibly out of date. The ChinaHealth Treatment Price Index records the check date for every one of its entries.
How we use AI
AI tools help us search source material, draft, translate and summarize. Every number and fact is checked against the original source it cites before publication. The site assistant (the chat feature powered by /api/navigate) generates answers from site content using AI and can make mistakes; the sources printed on each page are the authority.
Conflicts of interest
ChinaHealth takes no commissions, no hospital pays to be listed, and we sell no treatment or coordination services. See How it is funded.
Medical review
We are recruiting a licensed physician reviewer. Until then, pages are not medically reviewed.
