How we source and verify
Every factual claim links to a named source and carries a last-verified date.
Source grades
| Grade A: official, hospital, registry | Government notices, hospital official pages, clinical trial registries. A single A source can mark a fact Verified once an editor has opened it. |
| Grade B: mainstream media | Wire services and established outlets. One B source marks a fact Reported; B plus editor confirmation upgrades to Verified. |
| Grade C: community, creator, self-report | Reddit threads, videos, patient posts. Always labeled Self-reported, never presented as verified. |
Verification statuses
| Verified | An A-grade source an editor opened, or a B source confirmed by a second check. |
| Reported | A single B-grade source. |
| Self-reported | A community account or patient submission. |
| Unverified | Collected but not yet checked. |
Freshness
- Prices and visa rules: rechecked every 90 days
- Hospitals and conditions: rechecked every 180 days
- Anything older than 180 days shows a May be outdated mark
What we never do
- No diagnosis, therapy recommendation or dosage advice
- No hospital rankings or best labels; no hospital pays to be listed
- Example placeholder data is always marked with an Example banner
