No. The CNY 0.999-1.29 million list prices of the five CAR-T products approved in China are for the cell product alone; procedure and facility costs come on top.

Does any insurance in China cover CAR-T?

Commercial cover exists: more than 75 commercial insurance products and at least 100 city 'Huimin Bao' plans include CAR-T. Shanghai's Huhuibao added CAR-T in its 2022 edition, with an annual premium of CNY 129 and a maximum payout of CNY 1 million.

What did a foreign clinical-trial patient pay?

A New Zealand myeloma patient treated in a clinical trial at a Shanghai hospital said the whole process, including hospital care and airfare, cost about US$65,000. Trial pricing is not a commercial price.
